Why should you apply to the gener8tor Skills program?
The gener8tor Skills Accelerator is a virtual, rapid reskilling program for people looking for jobs in high-demand roles in their communities or working remotely for companies across the country. Graduates build their confidence alongside their technical knowledge in small, cohort-based groups where they receive one-on-one support to achieve their career and employment goals. Participants earn certifications that lead towards the pursuit of industry-recognized, postsecondary credentials including Certificates from gener8tor, Microsoft and LinkedIn. In certain programs, participants have access to reduced fee exams to secure additional industry-recognized certifications.
Skills Accelerator participants have earned 4,500+ certificates.

Complete the training at your own pace over the five to ten-week program.
As part of the gener8tor Skills program, you will receive one-on-one resume building and interview preparation assistance via individualized coaching from a gener8tor career coach. Participants will also have access to weekly webinars such as “How to Project Manage Your Job Search” to supplement their gener8tor Skills curriculum. At the end of the program, all participants will have the opportunity to participate in a Hiring Event where they will be connected to employers actively hiring in addition to long-term job placement support.

Self-paced virtual curriculum from Microsoft, LinkedIn and GitHub to learn skills for in-demand jobs, earn industry-recognized certifications, and access job opportunities;
One-on-one concierge support from the gener8tor team on the skills content, plus coaching on interview skills and resume-writing;

gener8tor Skills program is provided at no out-of-pocket cost to applicants who are eligible for privately funded scholarships or public innovative workforce programs funded at the federal, state, and local levels. If you choose to apply, we will do our best to contact you to determine eligibility in accordance with requirements set by our program partners who make this work possible.

YES! All programming will be virtual to make sure you can progress your career in a format that works well for you. Some programs will have in-person events and opportunities available but won’t be a requirement for you to graduate.

Participants that graduate from the Skills Accelerator program are encouraged to utilize our career coaching and job placement services for the duration of their career as needed. Program alumni are routinely reached out to by our team and have direct access to sign up for services through our Skills Jobs Board Website.

The group started gener8tor Upskilling in Wisconsin last summer and has since added seven other states with more to come, so far helping 83 job seekers find employment. Gener8tor staff work with local nonprofits to spread the word and with a national network of employers to facilitate new connections.
